Foodbank WA works to keep its costs as low as possible and we have many supporters who donate services and equipment, but it still takes a lot of resources to warehouse and move 2.7 million kilograms of food a year. We welcome cash donations to help us ensure that the doors of our warehouses stay open and rescued food gets into the right hands at the right time. Make a donation to Foodbank.
The supplies of rescued food doesn’t always meet the demand of our welfare partners – in particular there is a significant gap between the amount of staple foods obtained and what is needed to provide filling and nutritious meals. To address this Foodbank partners with food companies who donate or subsidise the ingredients and services to produce, process, package and transport essential items. This collaborative supply approach produces items such as breakfast cereals, pasta and sauce and tinned fruit and vegetables. Financial contributions from the public and corporate sector provide essential funds to cover the elements that cannot be obtained through donations. For every dollar you donate to Foodbank for the collaborative supply program we are able to achieve $7 worth of food. Make a donation to support collaborative supply of essential staples.
There are a variety of ways in which you can donate to Foodbank. For more information on each, click below:
